Objective: Thermodynamic Simulations to Indicate Engine Degradation
The Need: Current prognostics solutions cannot generate timely and trustworthy forecasts of critical events that foreshadow engine failure. A one-size-fits-all preventative maintenance regimen is followed that causes unnecessary downtime, costing millions of dollars every day. Even more costly is the incidence of surprise breakdowns, especially in-flight breakdowns, which are increasingly commonplace.
